35mm Experiments in Black and White
These photos are from the first roll of black and white photos I shot on film in January and February of 2024. These are experiments, a record of beginning a new way of experiencing and practicing photography. I have so much to learn.
I found a Canon A-1 on a trip to Los Angeles to check out Eagle Rock Camera & Goods in mid-January (read more about that here). I highly recommend visiting to check out their amazing contemporary photography library and their super friendly and enthusiastic service. Thank you Jason for helping figure where to start with film photography. Really grateful to meet you guys — hope to visit again soon.
Then I took a darkroom class at Lenses and Brushes here in Boise in early February where I developed the negatives and then scanned these with an Epson Perfection V600.
