Blacks Creek expands into Idaho toward the east of Boise and south are the Owyhees though the last image is looking north and west toward the Boise foothills. Shot on the Canon R5, 24-70mm L series lens.
(1 & 2) In the first two images I’m attracted to the moody light on the spare landscape. There is a herd of mule deer in these that resemble sage brush at this wider angle.
(3) Not only is this property private.
(4 & 5) The light on these burnt landscapes…
(6, 7, 8) I’ve been experimenting with intentional camera movement (ICM) to abstract this landscape. Can I make an image that only captures the light the landscape reflects and not what we think we see?
(9) Another moody lighted landscape. This area burned last year which brings another dimension to these photos—a tiredness or limit of what the land can give.
(10) I’m overall displeased with this photograph but it does show the landscape looking toward Boise literally.
