These Things: Underground Music, Cash in Jail, Food for Fuel
Short and sweet (I hope (I know)) for this edition of These Things but such good things...
I found a super inspirational short video (3:51) about a dude named R. Stevie Moore who has written and recorded thousands of songs and over 400 albums--at his house. This is one of the “Great Big Story” videos: America’s Biggest Underground Recording Artist.
Also, I ran across a fascinating article about Johnny Cash’s visit to Folsom Prison and how this event changed country (American) music forever. Have no idea how I stumbled onto this one, but it’s worth the read: When Johnny Cash Went to Jail.
And here's “The Best Performance Food for Every Activity” for staying on top of the physicality of the ineluctable summer.
Until when, Jeff O.
