“No Seats” from NYT Metro Diary - When I read what the man said to the writer of the diary entry at the end of her story, I wondered at how many things I take for granted every day—like riding a bicycle—as if I’ve arrived at some place where my life is as it will be.
Scrolling in the Deep: Are You Aura Farming? - Words are misappropriated to gain cool points…so and from the article, “Aura farming…is the definition of someone trying to acquire those cool points–while appearing completely nonchalant.”
Kevin Smith on Big Think - Six minutes with Kevin Smith includes, “...to get where you’re going requires a reasonable amount of unreasonability.”
What could be better than doom scrolling? Microjournaling - I love this simple idea and wonder how it could be used to practice awareness too? Like, just to relax and become aware of what’s actually going on around me rather than thinking I know what’s going on around me because, well, I don’t really know at all.
