Hello lovely people!
It’s falling in Boise and my favorite time of year to ride in the hills and watch the light change with the energy gathering toward winter and I’ve recently run across the band Morgonrode that fits this time of year like all the art shows popping up like and especially for peeps in the Boise area…
…the Boise Open Studio Tour begins this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 & 4 for open studios and homes in East Boise and continues next weekend Oct. 10 & 11 for West Boise (where we live).
Basically, local artists who are part of the Boise Open Studios (BOSCO) organization open their homes and studios for people to cruise through and get a sense of their space and materials and processes with painting and ceramics and sculpture and photography…
I’d love to see you at our place Saturday, Oct. 10 or Sunday, Oct. 11 where I’ll be showing some new work along with some favorites that I’ve found along the way cycling through the mountains and forests in Idaho.

The Vocabulary of Vulnerability: 10 Wonderfully Untranslatable Words from Around the World for Complex and Difficult Emotions - I love how language listens and evolves as our needs change. Looks like a super cool book. I’m grateful to know that someone is cataloging these little wonders.
“Det som blir” by Morgonrode - Det som blir translates to “what remains” by Morgonrode from Norway who mix traditional Hardanger fiddles with ambient and contemporary sounds. Great music to feel to.
